QuoinStone Business Rates Timeline – The Revaluation Is Coming
The 2026 Rating List is now just over 9 months away, and we are working hard to prepare for both its introduction as well as the changes that are planned by Government from 1st April 2026. These include:
- Preparation for the publication of the draft 2026 Rating List (latest December 2025)
- Reviewing and collating rental evidence from the 1st April 2024 statutory valuation date for the 2026 Rating List
- Liaising with clients to identify all current appeal opportunities prior to the end of the 2023 List
It is therefore vital that if you believe you are being over charged business rates, or are undertaking refurbishments, demolitions, experiencing external works affecting the enjoyment of your premises, or even if you are not using all of your floor area, please do get in touch with businesssrates@quoinstone.consulting or a member of the Business Rates team to discuss if you can appeal.
The cut-off date for challenging your business rates for this current 2023 Rating List is 31st March 2026, so don’t miss out on your right to challenge your current business rates assessment.
